Jane was introduced to yoga in the 1960s by her mother who practiced Pranayama Yoga. In the 80s she studied psychology and eastern philosophy for her own interest practised Tai Chi learned a fascial release method called Chua Ka and experienced acupuncture cranio sacral Rolfing homeopathy psychotherapy and the Chinese Five Element system. Jane spent a year back packing round the world when she was 26. On returning to England she trained as a Shiatsu practitioner and worked in clinics for the next five years. She has continued to travel extensively. Jane started practicing yoga in 1991 and was persuaded to take up teaching in 1999. In February 2003 she studied yoga in India to experience it in its country of origin. Six weeks later Jane worked with Angela Farmer and Victor Van Kooten. In June that year she attended a three week intensive 'teacher untraining' with them in Lesvos Greece which changed her view on everything that she had previously believed yoga to be. Jane has been inspired through working with amongst others Billy Doyle Donna Farhi Sandra Sabatini Rosella Baroncini Sophy Hoare and Linda Hartley. Jane studied and subsequently assisted on anatomy teacher training courses. Her knowledge of anatomy comes through clearly in her teaching and remedial consultations. Being deeply familiar with both the Chinese and Vedic Pancha Tattva Five Element Systems Jane has been teaching Pancha Tattva workshops since 2006 to students and teachers alike. Jane has has a daily meditation practice since 2007. In October 2011 Jane went to Nepal for three weeks to be in the presence of Mahasambhodi Darma Sangha and his sangha. This was such a life changing trip that Jane took a years sabbatical in which she moved house and went back to Nepal staying deep in the jungle with the sangha for four months in all. After an amazing sabbatical year Jane is delighted to be teaching a wide range of yoga classes and one to one sessions in January 2013 giving people individually tailored yoga programmes and remedial exercises as required at Elements of Health 64 Bethel Street Norwich NR2 1NR. Jane teaches yoga to people of all levels of yoga and life experience and with all types of body. Classes and courses are tailored to the individual participants uniquely involving enquiry and feedback enabling a more personally relevant experience. It is a very holistic way of working and can lead to profound life change and transformation. Jane follows a Raw Vegan lifestyle and is a raw food educator and lifestyle coach. She give talks and demos on Raw Food as well as supporting people through raw food cleanses and detoxes as well as giving the right yoga exercises to support the process. Jane's teaching is authentic coming from many years and areas of practice and experience: she continues to live the principles of yoga on a daily basis and travels studies and teaches world wide.
